Thefumisteriaidentifies the set of components and ducts used to evacuate the fumes resulting from combustion to the outside

Thefumisteriait is a fundamental technical sector for home security, regulated by precise physics standards and state laws. Its main purpose is to extract toxic combustion fumes and convey them outside, while ensuring the correct supply of oxygen to keep the fire burning.

Ilrefractory materialplays a crucial role in the flue gas sector. It is a special materialresist very high temperatures(often above 1000 °C-1200 °C) without melting, decomposing or undergoing structural deformations.

Unlike metals, which transmit heat very quickly, refractories have the property ofaccumulate heatand then release it gradually and uniformly over time (thermal flywheel).

The refractory material is mainly used in three strategic points of the heating system:

  1. Inside the Combustion Chamber (Hearth)

Bricks or refractory plates line the internal walls of stoves and fireplaces to perform three fundamental functions:

  • Structural protection:They protect the external body of the stove (often made of cast iron or steel) from direct contact with the open flame, avoiding deterioration or deformation.

  1. Nella Canna Fumaria (Canne Fumarie in Refrattario)

Oltre ai classici tubi in acciaio inox, esistono canne fumarie realizzate in refrattario e :

  • Offrono unaresistenza eccezionale all’incendio del fuliggine(possono sopportare shock termici oltre i 1000 °C senza creparsi).
